A Journey of Displacement: Forcefully removed from our ancestral lands in Somerset East (KwaNojoli) by colonial forces, our family sought refuge in Stutterheim (Emgwali).
Establishing Roots: In 1865, we crossed the Kei River to settle in Tsomo, establishing the area now famously known as Gcingca Halt.
Generational Wealth: By the end of 19th century, the Gcingca Royal Family House worth more than hundreds of thousands of pounds of British Sterling, a testament to our enduring entrepreneurial spirit.
